It’s been a minute since I’ve done the first Sunday Seven of the series, and I felt like perhaps it was time to share another. I feel like I’ve got a lot to talk about which is the point of this series – generally, it’s all the stuff I don’t feel merits its own individual post, but which I want to talk about nonetheless. 🙂
Alternative Buffalo – I’ll start this off with radio. Ever since I cancelled the Sirius subscription for my car, I’ve been listening to the radio a lot more. My favorite station, is and always will be the Canadian Edge (102.5 out of Toronto). Since I live in WNY, I’m lucky in that I can catch their signal (usually – I WISH I could listen in my house too). They play a perfect blend of new and older tunes and their on-air personalities are just great. However, since the station doesn’t always come in so clear, I’ve also been listening to Alternative Buffalo which is a decent second choice. My biggest complaint is that they don’t play enough older alternative (I’m mainly talking 90s and early 2000s). But either way, I’ve actually really been enjoying listening to the radio again – honestly, it’s the first time in a long while that I’ve done so and it’s a good way for me to actually discover some new music!
The Sims 4 SEASONS – I can’t adequately quantify for you just how excited I am for the new Sims 4 expansion – Seasons!! I didn’t realize how badly I wanted this until I saw the trailer. It comes out next week and I’m so ready for a full on Sims session – I’ve already got tons of ideas of what I’m going to build, and how I want to play. I’m especially excited for wind, and the expansions to the gardening skill, but for a full on post on the new expansion, see our Sims 4 Seasons post here!
Court of Thorns Series – I know that for you Sarah J. Maas fans, I am WAY late to the game, but I finally read the first book in the Court of Thorns series, A Court of Thorns and Roses and I absolutely LOVED it! I just picked up the second book A Court of Mist and Fury, and I’ve only just start on it, but so far so good. I love the intensity, the fantasy elements are right up my alley, and the romance doesn’t hurt either. 😉
Haribo Star Mix – I’m not a huge candy person, but since I gave up dairy, I’ve been occasionally exploring non-choclately treats. I picked up this Haribo Star Mix because honestly, it’s the perfect package for my indecision. Also, I didn’t think it was possible to make gummies taste so different from each other but it is! My favorites might be the cola bottles – perhaps because I haven’t had pop in about six or so years and it blew my mind how much they taste like Coke! If anyone wants to send me a whole bag of those, I wouldn’t say no. 😉
The 2018 FIFA World Cup – The World Cup is officially underway and I’m loving it. I’ve watched quite a few games and it’s been so much fun. I’m not sure who I’m rooting for to win the whole thing (I’ve got some ideas), but I usually pick a team to root for in each match and it’s been rather enjoyable watching so much soccer (or football if you’d prefer – honestly it makes far more sense to me than American football…)! I think that Soccer is quickly becoming one of my favorite sports to watch. It’s just so good!! Are you watching? Who are you rooting for?
I’ve been seriously considering getting a fish tank. I haven’t had one since I was a kid (and to be fair, it wasn’t my responsibility), but I keep thinking about getting one. I guess I’ve got the itch to expand the variety of pets in this house? I also think that aquariums look really cool and I feel like it could be an enjoyable hobby – soothing and all that. 🙂 Not a big one or anything too complicated to start, just something nice and simple. Should I do it??
I feel like I’m developing a FUNKO obsession. It started with one – Albus Dumbledore. Then, when Alan Rickman died, I purchased Snape. In the past month, I’ve added Kevin Smith, Luna Lovegood, Dr. Ian Malcolm, and most recently, Kira and Fizzgig from The Dark Crystal. I can easily see this developing into quite a habit. I’m a HUGE Golden Girls fan and I keep wanting to pick up that set, and I’m excited for the Nearly Headless Nick coming out next month!!
Hope everyone had a good weekend! Got something you want to share? Something we should read, watch or explore? Share your own #SundaySeven in the comments!
