Sunday Seven – June 17, 2018

It’s been a minute since I’ve done the first Sunday Seven of the series, and I felt like perhaps it was time to share another. I feel like I’ve got a lot to talk about which is the point of this series – generally, it’s all the stuff I don’t feel merits its own individual post, but which I want to talk about nonetheless. 🙂

Alternative Buffalo – I’ll start this off with radio. Ever since I cancelled the Sirius subscription for my car, I’ve been listening to the radio a lot more. My favorite station, is and always will be the Canadian Edge (102.5 out of Toronto). Since I live in WNY, I’m lucky in that I can catch their signal (usually – I WISH I could listen in my house too). They play a perfect blend of new and older tunes and their on-air personalities are just great. However, since the station doesn’t always come in so clear, I’ve also been listening to Alternative Buffalo which is a decent second choice. My biggest complaint is that they don’t play enough older alternative (I’m mainly talking 90s and early 2000s). But either way, I’ve actually really been enjoying listening to the radio again – honestly, it’s the first time in a long while that I’ve done so and it’s a good way for me to actually discover some new music!

Sunday Seven – May 20th 2018

thesundayseven

The Sunday Seven is a vaguely regular series where we share seven things that are on our radar in some way. They might be articles we enjoyed reading, a new food we’ve become obsessed with, a television show we need to talk about, or a new product we’ve discovered. There’s really no rhyme or reason – just think of it as our casual Sunday chat.

1 – The Office – I have to start this post off with a show I’ve become fully, and utterly obsessed with. I know – I’m WAY late to the party on this one. I honestly can’t explain why I never watched before. I had seen episodes here and there, but had never seen the series all the way though. Let me tell you, I am SO glad that I am finally doing just that. I’m just starting season six as we speak and OMG – this show is so good!! It’s painfully stupid, hilarious and at some points even sweet and heartwarming. I’m honestly surprised at the layers to this show, and just how much I’ve grown to like it. I’m definitely a big fan now. I’m just sorry it took me so long to become one. Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica.
